Summer Reading

One of my Summer 2011 goals is to read 11 books.
I like to alternate my reading between 'fun' reads and professional reads.  This helps me keep a balance while always continuing to develop and explore ideas.
So far this summer my list looks like this:

1. Small Town Girl by LaVyrle Spencer (Fantastic!  Story of a country musician going home to her small town where, naturally, she finds love and rediscovers what is important in life.)

2. Whatever it Takes: How Professional Learning Communities Respond When Kids Don't Learn by Rebecca DuFour, Robert Eaker, Gayle Karhanek, and Richard DuFour

3. Anne of Windy Poplars by LM Montgomery (#5 in the Anne of Green Gables series...my favorites)

4. Financial Peace by Dave Ramsey

5. Planning for Inquiry by Diane Parker

6. Integrating Inquiry Across the Curriculum by Rechard Audet and Linda Jordan (In progress...)

I'm halfway done already!  It is such a joy having time to read again - even if I have leaned pretty heavily on the professional books so far... :)

  1. Read Pride & Prejudice! I just picked it up the other day again because I wanted to get lost in somewhere with beautiful language!
