Weekly Wrap-up

During the summer months it can be so tempting to sleep in late each morning and end up wasting days away.  I hate knowing that I've let a day go by without doing something more productive than brushing my teeth so I'm going to hold myself accountable...sort of.

At the end of each week I will post my Weekly Wrap-Up - an overview of my week to prove to myself (and anyone interested) that I did more than just get out of bed each day.

I can't promise that this week's version is real chock full of inspiration - I didn't feel very well at the beginning of the week and had a root canal on Monday that slowed me down out of the gates.

Then again, knowing my low pain tolerance, surviving a root canal will make my list of accomplishments this week!

This week I...
  • had a root canal
  • checked out new books from the library
  • began rearranging my classroom
  • took some naps (I'm counting them as productive this week because they helped me get feeling better...)
  • read 3 books cover to cover and began a fourth
  • downloaded some new educational apps for my iPad
  • went to Zumba - twice
  • discovered I still had Pumpkin Spice latte mix and completely enjoyed it
  • made my own version of this idea to make a personalized plate for my table (picture below)
  • attempted this cute personalized bag that I saw on Pinterest and in person when it was used to wrap a bridal shower gift last weekend (picture)
  • made a small new piece of wood look rustic-y and adorable following this tutorial (picture)
  • prepped myself for students' birthdays next year by making crazy-straw balloons (picture) [idea from Pinterest...]
  • did laundry - even got a stain out of white pants!  That's a win for me.
  • ate a lot of spinach - not that this is really an accomplishment, but it's something I'm remembering from the week.  I really did eat a lot of spinach.
  • planned lessons for our summer reading camp next week
  • met up with our newest 4th grade teacher - Ben!
