- Taught summer camp to 23 4th graders from 9:00-12:30 Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday - we learned all about different animal habitats and did lots of reading and writing (picture)
- Went to Zumba (twice)
- Made a trip home to lay out on the lawn and read
- Vaccumed out my car
- Tried this drink recipe (it was delicious!)
- Wrote an application for a grant
- Read 3 more books
- Drove to Des Moines to attend my quarterly Iowa Council for the Integration of Service Learning meeting
- Made a plan for new things for my classroom (didn't accomplish them yet, but they are planned!)
- Had a long talk catching up with Katie
- Rode on a school bus with 2nd and 4th graders to Des Moines and back... in 95 degree heat
- Explored Des Moines' Blank Park Zoo with 7 of my little ones in tow - we had SO much fun and I loved getting to see them all again! (picture)
- Enjoyed the 'newscasts' my students did while we were at the zoo - they worked so hard preparing for these and they are adorable!
- Had lunch with a teacher friend
- Got my hair cut
- Finally spent some time with Kyle, Lindsey, and Zach again
