Was anything productive accomplished this week? You betcha!
- watched the Wedding Planner and teared up like I do every time
- went to Iowa City to visit Katie and Brandon in their new apartment to prep Katie for the first day on her new job (note - prepping Katie for the new job is code for "went shopping all afternoon")
- Read Fifty Shades of Grey
- decided on a color scheme for my classroom this year - I'm doing lime green, red, and black
- cheered on my favorite driver at another weekend of figure 8 racing (picture)
- drove all around the countryside scouting crops and feeling completely sick to my stomach every time I came up to a new field... man do we need rain!
- swung through Cedar Falls on my way back from Iowa City to get 4 Queens, of course
- made fun pens for my students to use when writing or the week after they ace a spelling test (picture)
- spent a lot of time in Minnesota
- changed my own oil. (Yes, you read that right, I did it! Tim coached me through the whole thing, but even when I whined he made me do each step by myself!)
- helped bale hay... a lot of hay
- helped Tim do chores for his neighbor's 160 little Holstein calves - so cute!
- checked one of the baby calves temperatures
- road along while we combined oats
- drove the grain truck home from the field AND backed it into the machine shed
- made pillows for my kids to use as comfy reading spots in my classroom this year (picture)
- went to a few garage sales
- stopped by school and was like a little kid on Christmas opening up all of the boxes containing our new math curriculum
