Lessons from Lady Gaga - the future of teaching

I shared this on Jake Rudy's Facebook wall today, but thought it was worth sharing with others as well:

I got an email today with "What Teachers Can Learn from Lady Gaga" in the subject. Although I think the article left out a few things - like the importance of a pokerface in the classroom, using 'Born This Way' to improve self-esteem, or how to connect the curriculum to your clothing - overall it wasn't bad.

Seriously, she does know what she's doing as far as utilizing social networking goes.  Her Little Monsters feel connected without knowing each other and perhaps without having anything in common more than an appreciation for Mother Monster.  How much more of an impact could similar strategies have within a classroom?
