Now that I have a job lined up for the fall and have begun to look for housing (housing that I won't be moving out of in 9 months time) it has really started to sink in: the 'college' chapter of my life is over. I'm moving on. We all are moving on.
Although I pride myself on remaining flexible in most situations - I have never dealt well with big changes. Mainly because I don't 'deal' with them - I ignore them and move on as if nothing were really different. It's time that stopped. This is too important of a transition to ignore. I am moving from a place that has become home, from the friends who have become family, and a lifestyle I had grown comfortable in. I will now have a new house to make a home, new friends to bring into my family, and a lifestyle that is going to challenge me every day. That's a lot for one girl to handle!
Thankfully, I have this summer to reflect and recharge. To process everything that has happened and shaped me over the last 5 years and prepare for the adventure that is now beginning. One of the things I love most about books is that you can always flip back and reread favorite parts - we get to do that with life too. Savor those parts that were so well-written they changed your perspective for the rest of the book. And then...
start the next chapter.
Greater things are yet to come...
