Hurting Heart

Last week was spring break and I had a WONDERFUL time in Branson with Mom.  It was such a nice break away from school and we loved all of the shows we saw.  I would do it again without question.

Unfortunately, the brightness of vacation was also shadowed by things happening back home.  My closest cousin's wife and my friend Lindsey was diagnosed with breast cancer - she is 24.  The news has shaken my family - even though they are Staudt's and are really good at putting on brave faces and looking for the silver lining in each situation - and it has shaken me - even though I am a Staudt and am really good at putting on a brave face and looking for the silver lining in each situation... 

This one is much closer to home than I've ever dealt with and since Linds and I are the same age - seems to be a bit more personal too.  But, the brave face is on and I'm ready to do what I can to help her win this battle. 

Staudt Strength.  Ready to love her through this.
