This week I have had the great fortune of helping at a horse camp intended to introduce girls to the world of horses and give them their first experience riding. It was a blast! It's been 5 years since I've spent time around horses - 5 years since both my pony [Buster Brown] and quarter horse [Tootsie] passed away.
Not that I was ever a super-horse-savvy person, but I loved spending time grooming them especially. There is just such an emotional comfort felt around horses - it's hard to describe but easier to see. . .
