Ladies love country boys

and dresses.  Ladies love dresses too.

I've always been a jeans and tshirt type of girl [mainly because nothing else was practical on the farm] but lately my tastes are changing.  I have seen so many cute dresses lately and have been swooning thinking about how wonderful they would look in my closet and where I might wear each one.  I have never ordered anything from ModCloth, but happened to look there a bit tonight and loved the look of these babies:

My recent dresscapades and a quick glance over these picks have given me an understanding of what I like in a dress right now.  There are always exceptions, but overall I look for symmetry, clean lines, straps/sleeves, and simple details or embellishments.  Funny that these are a far cry from jeans and tshirts, but as my favorite author, L.M. Montgomery, wrote (and I now have hanging in my closet as a bit of a reminder...)
